Whether going to a tournament, on holiday or to the vet – everyone has to transport their horse from time to time. However, often such transportation is stressful for both the people and and horse. For this reason, manufacturers are constantly working to optimise their horse trailers and horse transporters. The objective: to improve comfort, safety and efficiency. We support manufacturers in the development of light and long-lasting horse trailers and transporters with our lightweight construction material, Foamlite®.
Foamlite® - lightweight material:
Foamlite® is a closed-pore foamed plastic that combines low weight with high mechanical stability. Foamlite® sheets:
Wall cladding, door cladding and partitions
Manufacturers of horse trailers use Foamlite® to produce very light and robust:
Vehicles:
Foamlite® sheets are available for cladding transport vehicles in many different formats, thicknesses, colours:
In horse trailers and horse transporters, walls, doors and kick plates have to withstand a great deal of mechanical wear and tear in the long term. Tests in our in-house materials laboratory show that in comparison with tested conventional textured, coated board sheets that are often used in horse trailers, Foamlite® sheets have significantly higher abrasion resistance.
Foamlite® has a "built-in" hinge. All that is required is a 90 degree milled V-notch. This means it is very easy to make doors with V-grooves, for example. This saves time in the manufacturing process and eliminates additional material costs for hinges, screws and rivets.
We specially developed Foamlite®, a closed-pore foamed material, for applications in which construction materials need to be very low in weight while, at the same time, providing high mechanical stability. This opens up a wide range of possibilities in lightweight construction. Further information about Foamlite® lightweight sheets
